CAREERS
We are building a bench.
Qwalora is early. We are not filling seats this month, and we are not going to pretend otherwise. What we are doing is finding the people we want to call first when an engagement lands.
What you would be joining
Qwalora is an enterprise technology company working across advisory, research, procurement, engineering and artificial intelligence. We work with schools, local government, nonprofits and small organizations, and with federal and regulated environments where the rules are part of the architecture.
We are not a managed service provider, a help desk or a commodity reseller. We work further upstream, where organizations decide what to build, what to buy, and how those decisions will perform in three years.
We publish our research openly, with the method stated so anyone can reproduce it. That is the standard we hold our work to, and it is a fair guide to what working here is like.
How we work
Evidence before commitment
We establish what is true before recommending what to do. Where we cannot establish something, we say so rather than filling the gap with confidence. That applies to client work and to how we talk to each other.
Scope we can staff
We do not take work we cannot resource and then find someone to fill it. If you are on an engagement, it is because the scope was sized for someone with your skills, not because someone had to be found.
Direct client contact
You will talk to the client. We are too small for layers, and the work is better when the person doing it understands why it is being done.
Work that outlives the engagement
Infrastructure as code, documented pipelines, real handover. We measure ourselves on whether the client’s team can run it without us.
What the arrangement is
Independent contractor
Engagements are 1099. You invoice us, you manage your own taxes and insurance, and you are free to work with others between and alongside our engagements.
Project-based
Work comes in engagements with a defined scope and a defined end. Some run a few weeks, some run months. We will tell you which before you start.
Remote, with occasional presence
Most work is remote. Some clients need someone on site in New Jersey or Greater Philadelphia, and we will say so up front when that is the case.
Rate discussed in conversation
Rates depend on the engagement, the scope and the client. We will tell you the rate before you commit to anything, and we will not ask what you earned somewhere else.
These are the four disciplines we expect to need first. If you do something adjacent, the form has a box for that.
BUSINESS ANALYSIS
Business Analyst
Turning what a client says they need into something that can be built and bought.
INFRASTRUCTURE
IT Specialist
Hands on the systems. Identity, endpoints, networks, and the day-to-day that has to work.
ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE
AI/ML Engineer
Building systems that use models responsibly inside real constraints.
DATA
Data Scientist
Finding what the data actually supports, and saying so plainly.
How this works
01
You register interest
The form below. It takes two minutes and there is no cover letter.
02
We read it
Every one. If your background is relevant we will say so; if it is not, we will tell you that too rather than leaving you wondering.
03
A conversation
Thirty minutes, no test, no panel. We want to know what you have actually built and how you decide things.
04
We call when work lands
This is the honest part. You go on the bench, and we call when an engagement fits. That could be a month or it could be longer. We will not pretend to a timeline we do not control.
Register your interest
No cover letter. We will read it and we will reply either way.
